The language and voice models download once, then generate podcasts and summaries fully on-device — no servers, no per-use fees, no metering, works offline. Audiobooks are the one exception: they generate in the cloud, since a full narration can take several minutes.
Your documents and the audio Tider generates never leave your machine. Nothing is uploaded to be processed by anyone.
Tell Tider to sound like a BBC journalist, a YC partner, or a friendly senior engineer. Every episode is shaped to a voice you actually want to listen to — not a generic robot.

For podcasts and summaries, the AI runs locally — your documents, scripts, and audio stay on your device, never uploaded. Audiobooks are the one exception: a full narration can take several minutes, so that one generates on our servers, then syncs back. The only other thing we ever ask for is an email, and only if you choose Pro cloud sync.
